VSF is an alternative history in a world were steam powered technology is used to explore the world and beyond.
I am hoping to make this a hub for a number of pages on various projects I am working on. These will all be Victorian or Victorian Science Fictional in nature. Projects of other genres may be seen on my Model Gallery Page.

How to build a Landship:
The first project is a steam powered landship. The landship is an idea that can be traced back
to at least Joules Verne. These vessels did not become widely used in the Victorian era, but
not until the First World War. These vehicles of war have come to be known by a code name
given to them in that war, namely "the tank". As I am trying to maintain a Victorian air about
these subjects I will try to use the original title of Landship.

How to build an Iron Ram:
The second project is a steam powered Iron Ram. This is a transitional vessel built by
many of the navel powers of the Victorian age. These vessels featured armored plates covering
their upper decks, but more artfully built then the ironclads we are more familiar with from
the American Civil War.

How to build a Six Leg Walker:
The third project is a steam powered walking war machine. Walking machines while wholly
impractical in the real world, are a favorite subject of Victorian science fiction. And I must
admit, they do look good. There is perhaps no greater source for inspiration for walking
machines then the Star Wars movies. And it is the spin off toys that provide the raw
material for many constructs as well.

How to make Rivets:
Many projects, require the addition of rivets to a model or toy to help convey a more Victorian
feel.
