Zorko's Guitars A Danelectro Deluxe with Single Pickup, Tone Selector Switch and Tremolo This guitar was purchased from a music shop for the sum of $35.00 back in the 1970s. This vintage Danelectro has a pile of interesting features including the classic semi-hollow construction of soft-pine with Masonite top, back and pick guard, Lipstick pickup, dual steel "I" beam non-adjustable truss rods, tone selector switch, wide (duck foot) head stock, the neck is quite wide and does not tapper either in width or thickness and internal spring tremolo as see by the large chrome cover on the back (the tremolo arm, that attached to either of the two studs on the bridge plate, broke back in the 1980s). I did have to modify this baby to get it to be playable. Most notably, replacement of the original tuning machines with Kulson's. The stock machine were seized with age even back in the 1970s. The replacement was tricky in that the bushings had to be enlarger and the thickness of the head stock it greater then standard. But the enclosed replacement tuning machine should last a long time into the future.
It is now in the collection of Zorko, formerly of The Woggles.
