My Allohistory:

Basically, a world in which there are many colonial powers, all struggling for power and possessions across the world. These powers fight many small wars with out bringing on the world wide conflagration of "The Big War" (World War One). To this end, I wish to diminish the strength of the great powers, neutralize the Monroe Doctrine, and envision an European wide demilitarized zone, or prohibition on continental warfare. Similarly, a prohibition of large scale naval war would aid in the minimizing of the world dominance of the great powers found in the late 19th century, and promote the possibility of numerous proxy brush wars.
