The Newton of the West: John Cleves Symmes, Jr. and his hollow earth
he idea that the Earth contained a great hollow or underworld can be found in the myths and
legends of most of the peoples of the Earth. But the true nature of this was lost unto modern
man until the work of Sir Isaac Newton began to illuminate the possibility of the hollow Earth.
I will present here a brief history of The Modern Theory of the Hollow Earth
and the means that were undertaken to investigate it.
